Our Mission
To assist people that care the most in giving to the needs that matter the most to them.
We will accomplish this mission by providing residents a tax beneficial means to leave a personal legacy through donor advised charitable giving. |

Our Objectives |
► Enrich Our Quality of Life
The purpose of the Oldham County Community Foundation is to enrich the quality of life for all citizens of Oldham County by serving the charitable interests of donors who have established charitable funds as part of a permanent, collective, philanthropic resource for the current and future needs of the Oldham County community. |
► Administer Charitable Funds
The Oldham County Community Foundation is an affiliate foundation of The Community Foundation of Louisville (CFL), a tax-exempt public charity that administers charitable funds created by Kentucky residents, businesses and organizations for the betterment of their communities. OCCF was organized in March, 2010, to provide the services of a community foundation to local residents and to begin building a collective charitable endowment for Oldham County. The Oldham County Community Foundation oversees charitable funds managed by CFL. We do not receive or invest funds directly; that is the responsibility of CFL. Income from funds placed under our supervision by CFL is distributed in accordance with the criteria established by our fund donors. |

► Build Collective Community Endowment
Our mission also involves the encouragement of civic-minded Oldham County residents to add to our collective endowment by creating funds that support their charitable interests. You may open a charitable giving account to simplify your current giving with a gift of any amount. A permanent endowed fund may be created with a gift of $25,000 or more. The fund may be established by a lump sum, periodic gifts to build the fund, or a bequest through a will. Donors may also create funds that pay income to them for life and later provide for the future of a favorite charity and the community.
In addition, individual non-restricted accounts can be opened up with a minimum of only $5,000 (which can be built over a five year period). This new feature allows many residents a means to donate to the Foundation and make a difference in our community. |

What is a Community Foundation?
The Oldham County Community Foundation is a tax-exempt, charitable foundation providing resources for a broad range of needs in Oldham County and beyond. The Foundation enables people to establish charitable funds to be used in making grants to the causes and issues specifically designated by the donor. The funds are managed professionally, growing over time.
Like all community foundations, the Oldham County Community Foundation is overseen by a volunteer board of citizens with expertise in identifying and funding community needs. Because the Foundation acts as an umbrella organization, it keeps overhead to a minimum while providing maximum financial support to the community by working as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Louisville.
